  • This update fixes an issue affecting the search icon. When this option is selected, the search application does not open. This happens after the machine goes to sleep.

  • This update improves the reliability of the Search application.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting the TAB key. Using it to view search results requires additional action.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting Narrator. It doesn't correctly recognize the search box on the taskbar and searches highlighted in the search box.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting the size of the search box. Its size is reduced in tablet pose mode on Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Book devices.

  • This update resolves an issue affecting the Group Policy service. It does not wait for 30 seconds (the default timeout) for the network to become available. Therefore, the policy is not handled correctly.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting WS_EX_LAYERED windows. The window may be rendered in the wrong size or in the wrong position. This happens when the display screen is scaled.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting print jobs sent to virtual print queues. They fail without error.

  • This update fixes an issue that caused high CPU usage. This happens when you enable the "fBlockNonDomain" policy.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting disk partitions. The system may stop working. This happens when you delete a drive partition and add space from the deleted partition to the existing BitLocker partition.

  • This update fixes an issue that caused Windows to crash. This happens when you use BitLocker on storage media with large sector sizes.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting Remote Desktop sessions. Sometimes when I try to log in, I get an incorrect error message.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting the Start Menu icon. They disappeared after the first login.

  • This update fixes an issue affecting settings. They won't sync even with the switch on the Windows Backup page in the Settings app.

  • This update resolves an issue affecting Resultant Set of Policy (RSOP). The Windows LAPS "BackupDirectory" policy setting is not reported. This happens when set to 1 (i.e. "backup to AAD").

  • This update fixes an issue affecting users of Windows Update for Business. When prompted to change the password during login, the modification failed. Then you will not be able to log in. The error code is 0xc000006d.

  • This update resolves an issue with Microsoft Excel. Stop answering. This happens when you press the CTRL or Shift key while using the Japanese Input Method Editor (IME).

If you have installed previous updates, only new updates contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

Microsoft has received reports of an issue where users receive an "UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR" error message on a blue screen after installing the August 22, 2023 update and restarting their device. This update may be automatically uninstalled to allow Windows to start as expected.
